Job description
  • Manages all aspects of accounts payable (A/P) including review of supporting documentation (e.g., vendor invoices, employee expense reports, company credit card statements, wire requests); processing of both payable checks and outgoing wires; recording and accuracy of A/P transactions; managing historic records; and serving as the primary contact for A/P inquiries
  • Manages the accounting records and files, including scanning supporting document, A/P voucher, journal vouchers, cash receipts, cash deposits, bank statement reconciliations, investment account statements. Maintains an orderly accounting filing system
  • Prepares and records assigned journal entries for monthly closing. Reconciles specified general ledger accounts. Reviews for accuracy and corrects posting entries
  • Updates and confirm the payment to suppliers by keeping close track of accounts payable details and control accounts
  • Follow-up cash advance with staff by ensuring that the deadline is being followed
  • Helps ensure accounting policies, procedures are being followed
  • Participates in monthly and annual closing as required
  • Completes other accounting tasks as needed
Job requirement

■         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field

■         Prior experience working with accounts payable/accounts receivable and Cambodia taxation

■         Proficient with email and MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word

■         Experience with accounting software, prior experience with ERP systems software is preferred

■         Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records and following company guidelines and procedures by ensuring that no detail is overlooked

 

 

 

 

■         Can produce high-quality work regularly with good organizational skills

■         Self-motivated, with high initiative and able to work with minimal supervision

■         Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked and fast paced environment with company deadlines

■         Integrity, credibility, and a commitment to SHS’s mission; Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information

■         Native Khmer and Accuracy in Khmer writing

 

 

 Physical Demands

 

■         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds/10 Kilograms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
